Whether am I the first Chinese woman to fly around the world is not the concern. Flying is never my only goal. It is about living (my) own life real and to appreciate the vastness of world.

Fly Around the World
In between August 1, 2016 and September 27, 2016, Saki Chen piloted a single engine plane Bonanza A36 and flew around the world, with her three crew members (now life-long friends).
No female pilot in China or Asia has ever tried to fly around the world in a small airplane before Saki, the first Chinese (also Asian) female pilot who proudly launched her journey on August 1, 2016.

Saki publishes articles and drawings, gives public speeches and hosts aviation events in both China and US to promote aviation culture.
Saki Chen is nominated to be the governor of China Section of Ninety-Nines International Organization of Women Pilots and vice president of Female Pilot Branch of China Airline Pilot Association.

Besides her hobby of flying, Saki Chen holds law degrees and bar qualifications in both US and China.
She currently works for a Fortune 500 company as legal counsel.
She translated the book of (US) General Aviation Laws and Regulations, also participated several aviation regulation translation projects of Civil Aviation Administration of China.
Art Enthusiast
Saki has strong passion in writing and art since her childhood. Her essays and drawings could be found in magazines and online platforms. Currently she is working on documenting her adventures not just as a pilot but also a dream chaser to circumnavigate the globe.
Also Food and Wine
Saki enjoys her adventure of reviving traditional recipes of Sichuan cuisine inherited from her grandma and innovating fusional dishes inspired by her world travelling experience (by a small plane!). With her WSET level III Award in wine and SSI international Kikisake-shi qulification in Japanese sake, Saki devotes in developing her own philosophy of mariage (wine/sake pairing).
